What is wrong with this picture?

Everything! Those of you who know me well, know that my laundry is never caught up!! There are always stacks of clean clothes to be folded, dry clothes left in the dryer to get wrinkled and clothes forgot about in the washer. (They smell great after a day) My boys have found an easy way to clean their closet. Take all the clothes clean or dirty and throw down the laundry chute. I think this is about the seventh time since we have lived in this house that the laundry is caught up and the room is clean. . That equals to about 1.7 times a year that I have been caught up. The great thing about it is that I don't care anymore. Now ten years ago I would have stayed up all night to get everything just perfect. Not anymore! I learned that my laundry always waits for me. I have even overcome this without medication. While I was cleaning the laundry room tonight I was pondering why I used to think this way. Why did I base some self worth on what work I had done or not done? It made me think of this funny story that the older women in Santa Clara tell. Monday used to be laundry day. For every woman. It got so that everyone would have a little race to see who could get there clothes washed (By hand) then hung out to dry first. One lady who was always one of the last to get hers out became amused at the competition and one night washed all of her laundry late on Sunday night and hung it out to dry. So she was the first one done! Funny Lady! So while I am spending so much time in my existential laundry struggle I think of President Thomas S. Monsons words in Octobers conference. He said don't wish these busy years away. These kids will be gone soon and so will all of their laundry. It might seem like this will never happen but it does come fast. So now I have on my blog a picture of what my laundry looks like clean because we all know that by tomorrow it will look like it did thirty minutes ago. :)

I am glad that I am not the only one that leaves loads to wrinkle and stink:)

I hate doing the laundry! There needs to be a luandry fairy that comes around to do it for us.
