Haden spent a week in Annabella and came back 100 % cowboy. He wants to move up there. My brother teaches third grade and Haden wants to live with Grandma and Grandpa and go to school with Uncle Brian. We had to tell him that this year Brian had to go back to second grade. Haden asked if he could be held back and redo second grade. Haha this kid is so much fun! He already towers over all the kids his age. Can you imagine if he was held back?
I was released from Relief Society. I loved being in with these wonderful women. They all are amazing and taught me so much. I am now in Young Women's.
Haden and Josh at the Rain gutter Regatta. These two boys are so funny. They both have older brothers and both act a little older than eight. They both had the same idea for their boats.
Oh the story of the windshield!! I took Haden early in the morning to Lin's because we were out of milk. (We always are :)) He was having a huge case of the Gimmies. He wanted everything in the store. Chocolate milk, donuts, the silly toys in the toy isle, etc..... I usually give in to him just to get him to stop (I know this is bad, but give me a break he is the baby) but I held my ground this morning. He was so mad by the time we got out to the car that he got in and started throwing a fit! He yelled at me I am going to kick your window and I said do it! Ha, he did!!! He didn't even kick very hard. I guess that he just hit it right. I did really good. Everyone would have been really proud of the way I handled it. I just took at deep breath and we drove home. He knew he was in so much trouble that he just went up to his room. We made a deal that I wouldn't tell Kyle if he did a lot of work in the yard. We all know that Kyle wouldn't have been as patient. Good thing for insurance. We got the car in that day and Kyle never even knew it happened until Hayley asked us about two weeks ago who replaced our window because she needed to take her car in. Ha, Haden looked at me like please don't tell dad. I did tell Kyle but Haden doesn't know. It is good leverage if I ever need Haden to do his homework or chores.
One of our friends moved to South Korea. I got updates from her about Chase and Elder VanHoff. Kristy has moved back to the United States. I miss getting pictures and emails from her.
I don't think that Chase has ever been happier.
Count down begins. I feel bad for counting down because of how much Chase loves being in Seoul.
Zack has morphed into Chase.
And Chase has morphed into Zack.
Kyle and the boys spent many weekends chasing, hauling, moving, branding, yelling at, and herding these. I also found out that the fracture in Zack's tibia was not from playing football! It was from one of these ornery critters. Zack was helping ear tag and brand and was pushing from behind and the cow kicked him in the shin!!! Damn cows! (I can say that in Santa Clara. If you are a Dutchman it is not a swear word.) And I figure that I have lived here long enough to be called a Dutchman.
Our horse Nacho spent the summer healing from getting his leg caught in the barbed wire fence.
We spent a lot of hours in the car. Going to baseball tournaments, weddings, football camps, going to Annabella, driving to New Mexico. Fun times!!
Two of our favorite missionaries came home! Elder Michael Bergren and Elder Adam Hine. I was walking out into our garage to take Haden swimming and Adam and his family were walking into our garage! I was so excited to see them that I started screaming! Zack knew what was up, he knew that Adam must be here. I love these two boys and all the boys in the picture. It has been pretty quiet with all of them gone to college and on missions. What a great group of friends.
Getting a little close to Kolob!
I got called to be in Young Women's! This is how happy I am about it! Amazing leaders and amazing girls! These girls are such good examples, as we have taught the lessons and worked on Personal Progress it makes me wish that I would have been more interested in Young Women's when I was that age.
Kyle added another one to his t*shirt collection.
First day of school! It is always nice to get back to a little bit of a routine. Zack is as senior! Hunter is in eighth grade. Haden is in third. How did this happen? It seemed like I would always have little kids at home during the day!
