It is the Frei boys favorite part of the summer. Time for all the cousins to get together and haul the hay. The favorite part is meeting afterwards at Dutchmans and getting a pepsi and talking about all of the previous years of hauling hay. A few stories that stand out: Blake driving and giving it the gas. All the hay fell off and so did the boys sitting on top! Not one boy has ever mastered stacking the bales just right! Jeese!!!! Kent walking behind the baler with the twine because the baler was not feeding it out right. (dedication) The younger boys get to drive the truck. And these phrases keep going through my mind as I look at this picture. "Do some meaningful work, not worthless work." "Where is Mitch"? "Zack's finger, wrist, arm and knee is in a cast!" "You can't even lift a bale, you better stick to driving". I could go on and on. Love this time of year and that my boys have such awesome grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins to teach them how to work.
