The Flood Of 2012

For the third time in eight years we have been evacuated because of the river flooding. If I went out to the river right now and took a picture it would look like a little stream. This year our neighborhood was hit with the flooding water from both directions. The dam behind Dutchmans Market broke and the water came through the neighborhood and down to the river. It was devastating. It hit most of the homes in our ward. It was a sad thing to watch helplessly from above our neighborhood as the water from the dam came rushing through.
