Chase met Ji-Eun Kim in Seoul. Her family had Chase and his companion over to eat every week. Sister Kim served with his zone while she waited for her visa to clear so that she could serve in the Salt Lake Temple Square Mission. Chase told her that he would come and visit her when he got home. Well Chase didn't get up there right away and then she got transferred to Arkansas. She was transferred back to Temple Square her last transfer before she was going back to Korea. She got a message to Chase through another companion that he needed to come and visit before she went home. We went up the first of June. We didn't tell her that we were coming. We just went to the visitors center and asked if she was there. They told us that she was and that she was close. So we started walking around. The missionary that we had asked at the visitors center got to her and told her that we were looking for her. She looked at us in confusion wondering how we knew her. Chase was hobbling on crutches behind us. She looked at me again like how do I know you. I told her I was Chase's mother. She was so shocked and happy! She still didn't recognize Chase. Haha, he was in normal clothes, hobbling on crutches, longer hair and about thirty pounds heavier. (all muscle (:). She was so happy to see him. She was also so mad at him for not coming earlier. Chase told her that he lived about four hours away. She thought that Chase lived in Salt Lake City and was just not taking the time to come and visit. :) It was great to see them get to talk in Korean and Sister Kim and her companion took us on the tour of temple square. It was a great weekend. I love the Korean people.
