Exciting Family History Find!!

Our ward has some amazing family historians. In relief society we are really focusing on the new web site for family history and motivating everyone to get their history done. I have to be honest that just the words family history makes my brain shut down and I think boring. So I have always used the excuses that I am to busy, it is very boring, I will do it when I get older and am not so busy (I am finding that this is a myth) I like to read to much and I would rather read than dive into my history. My dad has only talked about his family that came from Denmark. I have heard their stories. They were converted to the church by missionaries, left everything and moved to the United States. Most of them were in the hand cart companies and were sent by Brigham Young to Elsinore, Utah and other small Southern Utah towns. My dad never really mentioned where his fathers family came from. So I just thought they must have came from Denmark as well.
Last week I got all of the information to set up an account on the new family history web sight. I logged on and typed in my grandfathers name. His side was mainly Utah and then the New York area as I got farther back. As I kept going back it was England. I started recognizing the towns that they were born in. Then it would come up "born in NorthHamphire Castle". I then started recognizing the last names; Grey, Dudley. Okay now this was getting exciting. I was back into the late 1400's and this name came up! Elizabeth Wydeville Queen Of England!
If you look at my bookshelf I love reading about this time period. The White Queen is Queen Elizabeth Wydeville's story. So now I know why I have been so drawn to reading these books and everything I can about the Tudors, Yorks and Lancasters.
