Best Mother's Day Ever!

Today we went to two of Chase's favorite wards. First we walked to the Yeong Dong Po ward. Everyone was so excited to see Chase again. I think Chase was even more excited. They all love Chase. We didn't know this but the tradition in Korea is to have all visitors in Sacrament meeting get up and bear their testimonies and introduce themselves. So hurray for all of us! We all spoke. It was pretty interesting because you have to say a sentence and then wait for the translator to say in it Korean. After the first sacrament we took a taxi to the Song Pa ward. This is the last area that Chase served in. It was a lot different in Song Pa. Chase said that it is a very affluent area. That everyone has a lot of money. In all the other places we have seen in Seoul you can be in a very nice area and behind it is the ghetto. So once again to follow Korean tradition we spoke again. This time Chase made Zack get up and speak. Chase translated for him. By the time Zack was done he had everyone in tears. Chase struggled to even finish translating for him. It was a sweet testimony from the heart. After Sacrament we walked over to see Chase's apartment. Chase had an investigator at church named Ju Wan. He came with us. When we were finished Ju Wan wanted to drive us to the Olympic Park. It was amazing. It reminded me of Central Park in New York. It was huge and it is the only space in Seoul that I have seen so far that is not covered with skyscrapers. We walked through and we also stopped at a history museum that was amazing. Ju Wan took photos of us all through out the day and by night time he had them all edited and made into a movie. Some of these Korean people are so nice. After Olympic Park we walked through more shops. Chase's ward mission leader from Song Pa had invited the missionaries, Chase and us, and a few of the members that Chase is really close with over for dinner. They live at the top of one of the nicest apartment buildings in Seoul. It was a beautiful view. They all had made a traditional Korean food. It was all really good. We visited for about three hours and then they wanted to all sit around us and ask us questions. They were all pretty intrigued with us. They asked us question after question. They made us feel like famous people. Everyone in both wards did. We could see that they truly love Chase and he loves them even more.  We were all so tired and ready to go home and Chase just could no leave them. It was pretty hard for him to say his last good byes to all them. He is pretty thankful for facebook and emailing.
