Mog yeok tang

Today was another amazing and interesting day. It started out raining really hard. But we have found out that this does not matter in Seoul. There is as much to do underground as above ground. Down every subway entrance they have shops that go on forever. The first day that we were here and Chase took us shopping in one all I could think was get me out of here. I need sunshine and air!! But now I can kind of used to them. I at least can handle being underground and not want to scream. None of us had umbrellas and it did not bother us at all. Every Korean had an umbrella. Chase told us that Koreans believe that the rain is acidic and if it touches your hair, your hair will fall out.

Underground shopping

It was p-day for the missionaries so Chase had them come and meet us for lunch. It was really close to our hotel. It was a meet buffet. Finally Zack could get some food that didn't make him dry heave. :) It was pretty cool. You just go to the meet cooler pick your meat and cook it yourself at your table.

We were able to experience our first Mog Yeok Tang. A Mog Yeok Tang is a public bath house. If the Korean people are traveling or tired they can just pay to get in these bath houses and just hangout and sleep on the floor. It costs a couple of dollars and you can go in and sit in saunas and pools. We sat in a freezing cold sauna,  a salt one that is about eighty degrees, a one hundred degree one, and then the last one was about one hundred and thirty degrees. We all liked it. We skipped the pools where everyone goes in with out their clothes!! When Chase told his Korean friends after that he took us to the Mog Yeok Tang they all would start giggling.

This is the entrance to the men's locker rooms. The women's said woman. Everywhere in Seoul there are signs in english. Most of them do not make any sense because they will have the verb in the wrong place or like this it will be singular instead of plural.

Saying goodbye to DJ. I am pretty sure that I saw a couple of tears. And I am sure I will see more when he says goodbye to Clint.
